| Bearnett House provides accommodation on three floors, the upper floors being served by both staircase and shaft lift. The ground floor accommodation comprises two double rooms and seven single rooms. The first and second floors house a further five double rooms and eight single rooms, all rooms have en-suite facilities. On each floor there are large assisted bathrooms, with bath hoists; there is also a shower unit for residents preferring this facility. Bearnett House accepts long or short stay residents as well as offering day care facilities. Residents, in the company of relatives and friends, are assessed by the Care Manager prior to admission and the home's philosophy and facilities outlined. Everything is done to make the new resident feel at home; residents are encouraged to bring along personal items of furniture, to have a telephone line, facilitating contact with relatives and friends, and to bring along small pets.
